Douglas Veenhof is a former mountain guide, an award-winning journalist, and the author of White Lama, the acclaimed biography of Yoga pioneer and Tibet explorer, Theos Bernard (Harmony Books, 2011).
He has studied and practiced Buddhist meditation for more than twenty-four years with esteemed teachers in India, Nepal, and the United States and is grateful especially for the example and guidance of H.H. the Dalai Lama and B. Alan Wallace.
Doug teaches shamatha and vipashyana meditation workshops and retreats around the world and is a certified Cultivating Emotional Balance trainer leading both CEB weekend workshops and the full 40-hour program.
Along with a full schedule of teaching, Doug is currently at work on a new book and developing a CEB-based meditation program for military veterans.
